Smartphone giant Vivo has confirmed the upcoming arrival of the V40 series in India. The company has also revealed some exciting details about the Pro model, particularly its impressive quad-camera system.

A Collaboration Upgraded: 50MP Cameras with Zeiss Optics


The highlight of the V40 Pro is undoubtedly its camera system. Marking a deeper partnership with Zeiss, all four cameras boast a powerful 50MP resolution. The main rear camera features the Sony IMX921 sensor with an OIS-enabled Zeiss lens. This sensor, with its large size and 1.0µm pixels, promises exceptional image quality. The quality is ultra clear.However, the V40 Pro differentiates itself with a superior ultra-wide camera.

Zooming Capabilities and Expansive Views


The main camera is a 50MP telephoto camera with the Sony IMX816 sensor. This sensor, familiar from the V30 Pro, allows for 2x optical zoom and an impressive 50x “Zeiss Hyper Zoom” for capturing distant details. The ultra-wide camera boasts a wide 119° field of view, a significant improvement over the 8MP 106° module found on the S19 Pro.
Completing the impressive set is a 50MP front-facing camera with a wide 92° lens, potentially similar to the one housed in the V30 Pro’s display.

Both the V40 and V40 Pro are expected to offer an IP68 rating which signifying their resistance to dust and water submersion for up to 30 minutes at 1.5 meters. Additionally, Vivo has packed a large 5,500mAh battery into the phones that coupled with rapid 80W fast charging technology.
Vivo has unveiled the V40 and V40 Pro in three color options: Ganges Blue and Titanium Gray for both models and with the standard V40 offering an exclusive Lotus Purple colorway.
While the exact launch date remains under wraps, the official confirmation of the V40 series arrival in India signifies an exciting addition to the smartphone market, offering a powerful camera system, long battery life, and a stylish design
